Gansui was the first Uwajima taimeshi (sea bream rice) restaurant. The taste of the popular Uwajima taimeshi, for which fresh red sea bream sashimi from the Uwa Sea and a secret sauce are used, has been maintained for more than 100 years. You can also enjoy Ehime’s other local specialties, such as Iyo satsuma (barley rice topped with a soup of grilled fish and miso), fukumen (pasta made from devil's-tongue with colorful toppings), fuka-no-yuzarashi (blanched shark meat with tofu and vegetables), and jakoten (minced and deep-fried fish including bones).

Oda udon is said to be the oldest udon in Shikoku, having been brought by Kōbō-daishi. This shop brings you a taste of old Edo period cuisine. Using dried sardine broth, which is traditional in the Iyo district, we serve it as kama-age tarai (tub) udon. Please enjoy it with seven condiments. We serve only this dish for \1,000 per person.
